Casa Blanca filed for voluntary creditor protection

The Casa Blanca meatpacking plant, located in the city of the same name in Paysandú, filed for voluntary creditor protection this Friday. “We felt it was the right move at this time to request voluntary creditor protection,” the company’s general manager, Carlos Fuidio, confirmed to WBR. He added that this will allow them to “seek long-term solutions,” for which “we are already working.”
