Russia’s increased prominence in the global meat trade

Russia continues to strengthen its position in the global market for meat and meat products, according to information posted on the official website of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. From January to November 2024, the country maintained steady growth in meat production. Sausage production rose by 1.9% to 2.3 million tons; semi-prepared meat products grew by 5% to 4.5 million tons; and canned meat output increased by 1.2% to 833,000 tons.
