JBS announces US$ 200 million investment in beef plants
JBS will invest US$ 200 million in two of its U.S. beef plants to increase operational efficiency, with the potential to boost production capacity in the future, the company announced. The investment will go toward facilities in Cactus, Texas, and Greeley, Colorado.
The funds will be used for a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and an expanded ground beef room in Cactus, as well as a new distribution center in Greeley.
Construction on these projects will begin in 2025. “We believe now is the time to invest in the U.S. and we are excited about what the future holds,” said JBS USA President Wesley Batista Filho in a statement.
“Today’s announcement demonstrates our commitment to the U.S. beef industry and to American farmers and ranchers. At JBS, we prioritize ongoing investments in our facilities to ensure that both our company and the rural communities where we live and work are well positioned for success now and into the future.”
