Chilled cuts to the EU reach highest levels since October
Prices for Hilton rump & loin increased sharply last week, driven by limited Argentine supply and a significant rise in export steer prices. Argentine market sources reported completed deals in the US$15,000–15,250 FOB range, levels not seen since October. A European importer stated that multiple plants are now quoting US$15,500/ton for new loads. In Uruguay, an exporter confirmed deals at US$13,400/ton late last week. Separately, there were transactions for Hilton outside from Argentina at US$7,500/ton.
