Sharp rise in export cattle prices, especially steers

Amid a marked shortage of livestock, prices for export-quality steers jumped by Ar$200 per kilo on the hook. British-breed crossbred steers are quoted between Ar$4,600 and Ar$4,800 per kilo on the hook, while zebu-crosses have climbed to a range of Ar$4,400 to Ar$4,500 per kilo on the hook.
